Hey guys, I’m Justin with AmericanMuscle.com, and today I have two different throttle body options from BBK Performance. I’m taking a look at the 70 and 75mm throttle body for the 4.6L V8 found in all 96-04 Mustang GTs. BBK is one of those companies that lives and dies on Mustangs and late model EFI performance, and it shows with all their quality parts, including these throttle bodies. Now both of these options would be a huge upgrade over the ultra restrictive 56mm factory throttle body. Now depending on your setup either the 70 or 75mm throttle body might work out a little better for you, but that all depends on your mods. The 70mm version will be great for those of you with mild bolt-ons, you know, intakes, header, exhaust, those sorts of things. Now this would be a great complement to those mods, and free up any additional power being held back by an ultra restrictive factory throttle body. The larger 75mm version is geared towards more of a radical setup – big cams, nitrous, high compression or forced induction, that would need maximum airflow. Both of these throttle bodies are CNC’d from high quality aluminum alloy and feature beefed up components that will only add to the longevity and quality of these throttle bodies. Neither of these throttle bodies require a tune but it’s always recommended to make the most out of any additional mods. Installing these new throttle bodies is very straight forward and should only take you about an hour. All you have to do is remove the factory throttle body, transfer the TPS sensor over to the new BBK throttle body, using the included gasket. After that, reinstall the new BBK throttle body and you should be good to go. So if you’re looking for more ways to help your 2 valve 4.6 breath a little easier, and you’ve already taken care of the basics, then you’ll definitely want to check out these throttle bodies from BBK Performance.
