Hey, guys, Adam here with americanmuscle.com. Today, I'm bringing you a quick overview and installation of the Brushed Door Guards available with the Polished 5.0 Lettering and Trim which will be fitting all 2010 to 2014 Mustangs. So in this video, I'll be going over the styling and appearance you can expect out of the Brushed Door Guards as well as their materials and construction. We'll top the video off with the installation which I'll let you know upfront is a very, very simple peel-and-stick application, so, of course, it gets the one out of three wrenches on our difficulty meter. The Brushed Door Guards with the Polished 5.0 Lettering and Trim will be for any 2010 to 2014 Mustang owner looking to get that extra detail to the interior of their Mustang to really spice up the appearance and contrast, and otherwise stealth the interior.Sitting in the late S197s, you'll notice a very stealthy and aggressive interior with a lot of blacks and not much detail to accent it. That's where this can step up to the plate because your door panels are definitely some of the darkest places on the interior with the exception, of course, with black leather seating. Now, with that said, this will stick right onto your door panels to give you that brushed aluminum appearance with a polished trim and a polished detail with a 5.0 logo to show your pride. Just to give you a better idea of where exactly on the door panel this is going, you'll notice there is a really big open spot right where your door pockets are on both the driver and passenger side. This has a 3M automotive bonding tape pre-applied to the back so you'll peel that off and stick it right over there just to border around that door pocket giving it that extra detail and trim. So as our Mustangs age, of course wear and tear becomes a factor, especially for the interior and the doors alone. Now with that said, this is a door guard as it says in the description. Now, of course, that basically means in addition to it being an appearance part, it is actually gonna protect your factory door panels from taking that beating. Over time, these will take the beating for the door panels, but of course being a 304 stainless steel that it is it can absorb that beating as opposed to the plastic trim of your interior. Now speaking of that 304 stainless steel, it is made of that high-quality material which of course will not peel, rust or crack, otherwise, you would expect that from a plastic material. Given the high-quality material it also has a brushed finish right on the face here and is bordered by a polished finish as well as the 5.0 logo being in the same quality. Now again, it also has a red dot, of course the 5.0, the point being in red, just to give it that extra detail and a bit of color here, definitely something that stands out and will be extremely useful for the guys out there visiting some car shows and looking to win that award. Now if this is something you think you'd be interested in for your own S197, you can pick up this kit for both the driver and passenger side, of course, for just north of 100 bucks. Now not an overly expensive price tag for interior trim, underhood dress-up like chrome trim will definitely be a bit expensive, but of course this piece here not too bad of a price tag and like I said, really gonna be useful for the guys out there going to car shows and looking to make their interiors stand out against the crowd.Shifting gears over to the install portion of the video, like I said in the very beginning, a very simple install literally anybody can take care of in a matter of minutes. Given it's a peel-and-stick application, I would highly suggest taking some alcohol wipes and properly cleaning the area down on your door panels, freeing it of all dirt and dust just to make sure the 3M tape gets a good bonding.Once that's taken cared of, peel off the backing of the 3M tape, line it up, stick it into place, rinse, repeat for the opposite side, and you're good to go. Overall, like I said, a minute or two and a one out of three wrenches on our difficulty meter.Just to wrap things up here, if you're the owner of a 2010 and 2014 Mustang and you're looking for a way to contrast against your black stealthy interior with a bit of chrome accent and trim you might want to check out the Brushed Door Guards with the Polished 5.0 Logo and Trim which will be available right here at americanmuscle.com.
