Hi I’m Justin with AmericanMuscle.com, and I’m going to be breaking down Eibach’s Pro-kit springs, fitting all 2005-2010 Mustang GTs, and all 2010 V6’s. Eibach is one of those household names in the world of car modding, more specifically the world of aftermarket suspension, if you’re looking to make any car handle better, Eibach is without a doubt one of the best places to start. So what can you expect from Eibach’s Pro kit springs? Well drop wise, they are going to be the milder of the two offerings from Eibach, the other option being the sport lines. The drop is going to be anywhere between 1.3 to 1.4” up front, and 1.4 to 1.6” in the rear depending on your ride. If you are looking for a bigger drop, Eibach does offer those sport line springs which I just mentioned, that will lower the car closer to 2 inches in all four corners, if that’s the look you’re going for. If you just want to get rid of some of that ugly wheel gap without having to worry about scraping over every speed bump, then the pro kit is an excellent choice, this would be a great time to tell you to click the link below to visit the product page on our site, here you can check out some of the very favorable customer reviews on the pro kit springs, and check out nearly 50 images of these springs installed on some of our customer cars. This way you can get a better idea of how the drop might look on your own ride. So we know what to expect appearance wise out of the pro kit, but what about the handling capabilities? A good set of progressive springs like these Eibachs here are going to improve several different facets of your Mustang’s performance. For instance, it’s going to reduce squat on hard launches, excessive nose dive during hard braking and body roll while in corners. Basically the car is going to prove more capable, and most importantly more predictable when pushed to the limits. That leads me to my next point which I do get asked about frequently, does installing a new set of springs mean you have to change out your shocks and struts? Well, that’s up to you, ultimately pairing a new set of springs up with a set of performance shocks and struts, that are better designed to work with that lower ride height and firmer spring rate, however as these springs do offer a very mild drop, your factory stuff should be able to handle the job just fine, as long as everything’s in shape. Otherwise you might want to consider upgrading, or otherwise checking out Eibach’s Pro system plus, which does come with everything you need to completely revamp your suspension. Installing a new set of springs isn’t exactly something I’d recommend for the first time wrenchers out there, this is just because you do need to use some specialized tools like a spring compressor, to remove your factory springs and install the new Eibachs. Because of this we highly recommend leaving this install in the hands of the professionals. On the other hand, if a spring install is just another job in the garage for you, just leave yourself about 4 hours to get everything bolted up. It is worth point out that whenever you do alter the ride height of your vehicle, you should ideally take it to your local alignment shop just to get everything checked out, especially your camber. If you do need some additional adjustment, Eibach offers a very affordable solution, thanks to their camber adjustment bolts, just be sure to let the springs settle for a week before taking the car in. So if you’re looking to improve your Mustang’s handling and appearance, then go ahead and check out these Eibach pro springs available at AmericanMuscle.com, and if you want to learn even more about making your Mustang handle better, then go ahead and subscribe to our YouTube channel by clicking the link below, or in the corner, here you can check out some of our gen specific handling builds, and check out some of my other handling product overviews.
