      Description

So when it's time to choose a replacement, upgrading to an Exedy Grooved Mach 500 Stage 1 Clutch is the perfect way to put your Pony's power to the pavement while still keeping its street manners.

      Grooved Pressure Plate. Featuring a unique grooved pressure plate, this Exedy Clutch offers more holding power than their standard smooth pressure plate equipped clutch kits. Exedy has machined grooves directly onto the face of their Pressure Plates which is designed to increase the "mean effective radius", which in turn increases the torque holding capacity of the clutch - perfect for high torque Mustangs.

      Street or Strip. The Exedy Grooved Mach 500 Stage 1 clutch is a performance oriented clutch upgrade, offering higher clamp loads without sacrificing driveability. It's perfect for the Mustang that stretches its legs on the street, strip, and track, since it offers smooth engagement with a firm, not rigid, pedal feel.

      Premium Quality. The Exedy Grooved Mach 500 Stage 1 clutch is designed to offer the durability and performance of a racing clutch with the driveability of a stock piece. To make the Mach 500 kit, Exedy combines an organic compound disc and a powerful, high clamp load grooved pressure plate for crisp yet smooth engagement and great wear. All of Exedy's discs feature spring center dampers to reduce drivetrain shock. 

      Application. This Exedy Grooved Mach 500 Clutch is designed for the Late 2001-2004 GT, 1999-2004 Cobra, 2001 Bullitt, and 2003-2004 Mach 1 with the T-45, TR-3650, or T-56 transmission with a 10 spline input shaft.
