The factory prop rod retaining clip is notorious for breaking, so replace your Mustangs damaged or missing clip with a brand new genuine Ford replacement to assure that your hood prop rod is properly secured when the hood is closed. This is not an item you want to over look when restoring your pony back to better than new condition.

Application. This genuine Ford Hood Prop Retainer Clip is designed to be a direct fit replacement for all 1989 to 1993 Mustangs equipped with the larger diameter prop rod, including the LX, LX 5.0, GT and SVT Cobra models.
Application Note. Ford used a small and a large diameter prop rod on the Foxbody Mustangs. From the factory small diameter prop rods used a black retainer clip, where large diameter prop rods used a white clip.
