Hey, everybody. I'm Justin with AmericanMuscle.com, here with some radical styling for your S197, courtesy of industry leader MMD. I'm going to be taking a closer look at the MMD Fender Vents, available for your 2010 through 2014 Mustang in your choice of either Unpainted, Pre-Painted, or Matte Black.MMD's goal is to help you separate your ride from the rest, and never has that been more true with parts like these fender vents. Now, these parts are definitely not going to be for the "less is more" crowd. Instead, it's going to be for someone who is not satisfied with the stock appearance and for the Mustang owner who is really looking to stand out on the street or at their next show.So styling-wise, what are we looking at? Well, as you can see, these vents do get installed behind the front wheel and in front of the door here, giving your S197 that race-inspired look. Now, besides those aggressive looks, the crew over at MMD actually claims a little bit of functionality with this part, acting as a heat extractor, allowing any hot engine bay air to escape through the vents here.Construction-wise, here's what you're going to be looking at, guys. Durable, automotive grade ABS plastic for the build, more than capable of handling the stresses on your track toy, show car, or even your daily driver. Now, as I mentioned at the top of this video, you do have a few options in regards to finish, starting with our pre-painted version here. Now, this version does get sprayed right here in AM in our state-of-the-art paint booth, using the same base and clear coat that Ford uses on their Mustangs. In addition to that, we are offering a matte black version, which is a good way to mix up the look a little bit, if that's what you're after. Finally, if you're looking to save a few bucks, we do offer an unpainted version, if you have a paint hookup or if you're looking to spray this thing yourself. As for the install here, well, as you might expect, guys, there is a fair amount of cutting going on with this job. So for that reason alone, I'm going to give it a three out of three wrenches on the difficulty meter. Now, you could probably do the job with the fenders still on the car. But personally I would recommend removing the fenders, first, it's really not all that hard, and ultimately it's going to give you the best result. Now, if this is something you're not comfortable with doing, definitely don't hesitate to reach out to your local body shop on this one. Or if you will tackle this one on your own, just figure about six hours or a half a day in the garage to get everything knocked out.So if you're looking for that aggressive race car styling for your S197 with a little added functionality to boot, then be sure to check out the full lineup of MMD Fender Vents right here at AmericanMuscle.com.
