      Description

      MERCON® V. Manufactured with high-viscosity, premium-quality, hydroprocessed base oils and specially formulated performance additives, Motorcraft Mercon® V transmission fluid provides excellent shifting characteristics at high and low ambient temperatures, excellent thermal resistance, oxidation resistance and good low temperature fluidity.

      Superior Protection. Motorcraft automatic transmission fluid with Mercon® V provides superior wear protection and inhibits the formation of gum, sludge, lacquer and foam. It also provides protection against rust and corrosion. This automatic transmission fluid is dyed red for ease of leak detection.

      Application. Motorcraft Mercon V® Transmission Fluid is recommended for all automatic transmissions requiring Ford Mercon V® transmission fluid. Five (5) quarts are required for a regular transmission maintenance flush.Technical Note. Do not use in applications where MERCON® SP, MERCON® LV, Continuously Variable Chain Type Transmission Fluid, Motorcraft® Premium Automatic Transmission Fluid, FNR5 Automatic Transmission Fluid or Type F Automatic Transmission Fluid is recommended.
