Hey, guys, I'm Justin with AmericanMuscle.com, here with my quick review of the Raxiom Vector Smoked Tail Light available for your 2005 to 2009 Mustang. All right, guys, this video is gonna cover a few basic topics concerning the Vector Tail Lights here from Raxiom, basically what you can expect as far as light outputs, styling and functionality, what they're gonna be made of, and then finally, what you can expect when it comes time for the install. And honestly, guys, this one really couldn't get much easier. Tail lights on the '05 to '09 cars are essentially plug and play, and the Raxioms are gonna be no different. So expect a simple one out of three wrench job with more detail to come later on.First and foremost, this is definitely going to be a premium tail light option available for the '05 to '09 owners out there looking to take a break from the norm and step into a totally wild-looking tail light, completely different from the factory tail light in many different ways. Now this is gonna be a great choice for those of you who enjoy more of a smoked look, obviously as you can see here, and also for you guys out there who want to get into a modern LED taillight. Well, this is another cool tail light from Raxiom, of course, one of the industry leaders in producing stylish and functional lighting in addition to some pretty cool tech as well with some of their navigation units. Now, all their stuff is definitely built very well and it's all backed by a pretty solid two-year warranty. Guys, let's break down these lights, starting with the surface, right? So we got a modern tri-bar tail light design that has become very popular with today's Mustangs. Now this is a dark smoke lens here which a lot of us Mustang owners are always after. And underneath the smoke lens, you're gonna find clear tri-bar design. So that clear tri-bar design is actually going to be a 30 LED board which is done with a diffused light. It's gonna be a very attractive package when it's actually on, whether it be your tail lights, your break lights, or your turn signals.Going even further with the styling, guys, you're gonna see that Raxiom has incorporated the reverse portion of the tail lights in a way that's very sleek, blends very nicely with the total package. However, we have the reflector portion here as well. These things don't really offer anything in terms of functionality. They have to be there by law. Not my favorite, but overall, I don't think it's a deal breaker.Talked about the styling a little bit, let's talk about the functionality you can expect with the vectors here from Raxiom. Again, this is a 100% full LED light with the exception of the reverse light. That's something you will need to reuse if you want to or may I suggest checking out an LED reverse bulb just to kind of complete the look a little bit.So each of these bars here feature a 30 LED board. So you're getting 30, 60, 90 LEDs in total with these lights, and they are diffused. So it's gonna make for a very attractive kind of glow when these things are in action. The sequential turn signals are actually built in with the vector tail lights from Raxiom, so you don't need any extra harnesses or anything like that. You pretty much plug them in and you got that modern sequential styling. Now your break lights won't sequence. That's only reserved for the turn signals themselves, so just keep that in mind. But overall, guys, again, you're getting a dark smoke lens with this. The bright LEDs will definitely kind of counteract that a little bit, so you're still getting plenty of light output with these despite that smoked lens. We've talked about the basic styling you can expect with the vectors. We've talked about the LED functionality. How about the price? Well, like I mentioned earlier, this is definitely gonna be one of your more premium options when it comes to aftermarket tail lights here on the site. These things are gonna ring you up for over $400, definitely one of the most expensive options currently here at AM, even more so than the Gen 5 Tail Lights. However, what you're getting in return for that price tag is a very unique tail light, and you are getting that modern LED technology along with the built in sequential turn signal. So, overall, if you want something that's very unique, these are definitely a great choice. So we got materials, we got functionality, we've got price. Now let's switch gears. We'll talk about install for you. And tail lights on the '05 to '09 cars are very straightforward. There's really only three nuts holding the factory tail lights in place. You can knock those out with an 11 millimeter wrench. Then after that, you're looking at a total plug and play job. So for starters, basically crack the trunk open and remove the rear plastic trim that would otherwise cover the rear of the factory tail lights. Once that's out of the way, go ahead and get to work removing those three 11 millimeter bolts and then unplug the factory tail lights and get those out of the way. With the rack seams ready to go, simply plug those into your factory harness, switch over that reverse bulb and then reinstall the new Raxiom tail lights in reverse order, tightening up those 11 millimeter bolts as you go.That's pretty much it, guys. Again, this one's a very simple and straightforward job. So one out of three wrenches on the difficulty meter is what you can expect here. You can probably have this one wrapped up in about an hour or two from start to finish. While you are gonna be paying a little bit more of a premium here for the vectors from Raxiom, you are getting a very modern tail light for your S197 in regards to overall styling and functionality, and that dark smoked lens should look good on just about any '05 to '09 car.So that's my review of the vector from Raxiom which you can find right here at AmericanMuscle.com.
