Hey, what's up everybody? I'm Justin with AmericanMuscle.com, and this is my detailed review of the Magnaflow MF Series Cat-Back Exhaust System, featuring the dual same side exit configuration, which dumps before the passenger rear tire. Available for all 2015 and up, 2.7 liter Ecoboost Powered Supercrew & Supercab F150s.All right, guys, in this video we're going to cover three big topics. We're going to talk sound you can expect here with the Magnaflow MF Series. We're gonna talk about the materials used in this system. And then finally we're gonna do a quick, little walk through of the install itself. And honestly for most of you guys out there, it's going to be one out of three wrenches on the difficulty meter. Nothing too crazy here. So we'll have a little bit more detail coming up on that later on.The Magnaflow MF Series Cat-Back here is going to be a great choice for newer Ecoboost owners out there who are after a really well made system from a quality brand like Magnaflow. You want just a little bit more noise, both inside and outside of the truck. And finally, and maybe more importantly, you want the very cool dual same side exit configuration that will dump before the passenger side rear tire. So again, guys, this is just going to be for someone who wants a little bit more sound, and maybe isn't concerned with being the absolute loudest truck on the block. So with all that said, let's take a close look at this cat-back. Magnaflow is definitely one of those companies that's known for making some pretty solid stuff over all, using 100% stainless steel for the most part. All of which is gonna fit great, and produce some pretty well rounded tone. Now the MF series that I have here certainly checks all of those boxes. And I think you'll find that this is just one of many different offerings for your Ecoboost powered truck here on the site for Magnaflow. This particular option again, that I have in this video, is that very cool dual same side exit that will dump before the passenger side rear tire, much like the older SVT Lightenings. They also offer the same exact system a little longer, that will dump after the rear tire. A little bit more of a traditional configuration. They also have the very popular dual split side exit system, and just a more traditional single side exit system as well. So again, as you can see guys, they have just about something for everyone. Now all these systems that I just mentioned are going to utilize the same MF Series muffler here, guys. So don't expect a huge variation in tone from one system to the next. Instead it's going really just going to boil down to what kind of look you're after with your exhaust, and how much dough you want to spend. As far as a tone you can expect when installing the Magnaflow MF Series here. Well, you guys heard the sound clips. Ultimately you can be the judge. But in my opinion guys, this is one of my favorite exhaust systems for the Ecoboost powered trucks, and here's why. You're getting just a little bit more tone over that factory system. Again, these are Turbo V6 engines. A lot of us guys don't want to really advertise that too much. We know it's not a V8. It'll never sound like a V8. So if you can get something that says, "Hey, I'm not stock. But at the same time, I'm not going to drive the family crazy," well again, this is gonna be a great system for you.Breaking out the wake the neighbors scale, I'm going strong two out of five here, guys. Again, just slightly louder than your factory system. Interior noise is practically non-existent. So a perfect choice for a daily driver, or family hauler that does see a lot of road trips. But let's talk about how Magnaflow achieves that nice, deep tone here with their cat-backs. And as you might imagine, a lot of it's going to come down to the MF Series mufflers that they incorporate with a lot of their Ecoboost or truck systems in general. You're going to find a perforated tube inside of the actual muffler itself. And also a combination of a stainless steel wrap, and an acoustic material that does a great job of rounding out the sound with their systems. But again, you are getting that nice, deep, rich tone with the Magnaflow here. I like to call it a nice full bodied tone. You're not getting the high end, raspy pitch with the Magnaflow Systems whatsoever. So if that's what you're into, this is a great choice. You're also getting that straight through muffler. Again, you might see a little bit more performance out of the truck with this system. But ultimately when you're adding a cat-back to your newer Ecoboost F150, you're mainly making a sound, and an appearance upgrade more so than a performance upgrade.Breaking down the fine details here with the construction, guys, you're going to find 3 inch mandrel bent tubing. It's a smaller system overall, as you can see. And of course the three a half inch, brightly polished, slash cut tips. They look awesome when installed on a truck. Again, I really dig this style of system. You're looking at 409 grade stainless steel here throughout. Again, they do a great job at reducing corrosion. Help keep the price down slightly compared to those more expensive 304 grade systems. Everything's made in the USA, and everything is backed by a lifetime warranty. On the topic of price, guys. I think you'll find a lot of the Magnaflow options here on the site for you F150 are going to fall on the higher side of the mid-level price range. And what does that mean to you? Well, these things aren't gonna set you back as much as the Corsa stuff or the Borla stuff price for instance, but you are gonna be dropping just south of a 1,000 bucks, which still is a good chunk of change, I'll give you that. But you have to factor in you're getting some pretty solid materials, and a A plus build quality. Now if you really like the dual same side exit configuration, but you have a really tight budget, MBRP is gonna make a few systems that will give you this similar look. It's not gonna be as nice as the Magnaflow. But it will definitely get you there, if that's what you want. As I mentioned at the top of this video here, this is gonna be a simple one out of three wrenches on the difficulty meter when it does come time to get everything bolted up. In fact, removing your factory system, getting this new guy in place here, only gonna take you about an hour or two using some basic hand tools. And by basic, I'm talking 13 and a 15 millimeter socket. Cordless impactor air will certainly help the job go a lot quicker but overall, you can do this thing with basic hand tools on your back if need be.Now this is a Supercrew or Supercab specific truck. So go ahead and remove that factory system first. Get the new Magnaflow in place in reverse order, starting from front to back. And you should be making noise in no time. As an Ecoboost owner myself, I really enjoy the Magnaflow MF Series Cat-Back based on the sound alone. Now again, a lot of us V6 owners don't exactly want to crank up the volume, like the V8 truck owners out there. And if that does sound like you, then I really do think you'll enjoy the system. Pair that with a quality build, the great materials, and the very cool dual same side exit configuration, and again, you've got a great system if you don't mind spending close to 1,000 bucks. So that's my review of the Magnaflow MF Series Cat-Back which you can find right here at AmericanMuscle.com.
