Justin: The SR Performance Caster Camber Plates that we have here will be one of your most affordable ways to properly correct both the caster and the camber on your lowered '99 to '04 Mustang. Now, this highly-rated product will deliver a quality billet aluminum build and will allow for up to six degrees of total camber adjustment for right around 150 bucks. Site's gonna call this one a soft three out of three wrenches on the difficulty meter here gang as those front strut assemblies will need to come out. So, therefore expect about four hours or so to complete from start to finish. And if you hang with me for a little bit, we'll show you more on that job later in the video. So, if you're watching this video, then chances are you've already lowered your Mustang or are thinking about it here in the near future and wanna make sure that alignment is gonna be in great shape. I don't blame you, it's a good thought to have. Now, the problem here is guys that depending on how low you go, your factory components might not be able to get your car and the alignment back into spec. And sometimes even those aftermarket camber bolts really aren't going to be up to the task. At that point, it's time to start thinking about or looking into an aftermarket caster camber plate such as the SR Performance options here. Now, on the surface, the SR Performance options here do utilize the very popular three-bolt design as you can see. And that's something majority of your options here in the category will use as well, your only exceptions being from Eibach and Maximum Motorsports which feature a more multi-bolt design and therefore a little bit more fine-tuning. However, guys, if you're not competitively road racing your car the simple three-bolt design of the SR options here will give you all of the adjustment needed to get you back into spec and of course, correct both the caster and camber easily by allowing for up to six degrees of total adjustment for your camber, both positive and negative. Now, I do wanna point out that the SR plates here are compatible with most if not all stock and aftermarket struts, but will not be compatible with a lot of coil-overs, which typically already include some sort of caster camber plate built into the top hat. So, if you are planning on buying these for your set of coil-overs at home, you might wanna make sure they are compatible first before pulling the trigger. Now, the SR plates have been made right here in the USA from high-quality billet aluminum and then feature the engraved SR logo on the top. Finally, guys, I do wanna point out that these caster camber plates are one of the most popular here on the site with well over 100 5-star reviews. So, feel free to read up on some of those if you haven't already and actually hear from owners, SN95 owners that is, who have actually pounded the pavement with these installed and will give you the real-world feedback. But now we wanna show you just how to get everything installed and to do so, as promised here's that detailed walkthrough along with a quick tool breakdown.Man: The tools used for this install are a half-inch impact gun, a 3/8 impact gun, 24-millimeter socket, 21-millimeter socket, 17-millimeter socket, 15-millimeter socket, a drill and a large drill bit. So, the first step of this install is gonna be to get the front into your vehicle up off the ground and pull the front wheels. This will give you the access to remove your caliper and your rotor. Once you do that, then you can start disassembling the rest of the front suspension to get your front spring out. Next, I'm gonna unhook the sway bar end link and then I'm gonna put some support underneath the lower control arm while I disconnect the shock. Now, I put a floor jack underneath my lower control arm to support my spring while I disconnect my shock assembly here at the front. This is gonna keep the spring from unloading uncontrollably while you're unbolting the state assembly from the knuckle. Now, I'm gonna use a little bit of leverage to get underneath the coil spring, push down on the lower control arm and remove the spring. Now, keeping a hand on the shock, I can take the bolts out and remove it from the vehicle. With my shock moved out of the way, I can take a drill and drill out the heads of these rivets if you still have them on your vehicle. The size doesn't matter as long as it's big enough to just get rid of the size of the head for the rivet to get the plate off. Now, I'm gonna use a 21-millimeter socket on an impact gun to get the top of the shock off. So, because this car is gonna be riding at factory height, we're only gonna be using the tall spacer for the bottom and the small spacer for the top so that our caster camber plate will bolt down securely. These spacers keep everything aligned centered so that there's no play in the top of the bolt and then you can just use your factory bolt to hold it all together. Now, I can pre-install the caster camber plate into the vehicle and then install my shock into the caster camber plate as you see here. So, I'll put my bracket in from the bottom side and then I can install the caster camber plate on top. Now, I'm gonna use the 17-millimeter socket and just tighten up the bolts for the caster camber plate. Right now I'm leaving them in a basically a neutral location and I'll make all of my adjustments when I do my alignment. All right. Now, you can just put the bottom back together and repeat this entire process on the other side. And that's gonna wrap up this review and install for the SR Performance Caster Camber Plates for your 1994 to 2004 Mustang. Thanks for watching and for all things Mustang keep it right here at americanmuscle.com.
